Darci Martin, Courtney Moore, and Maryellen Larkin got together this afternoon to roller skate for a while. They had fun racing each other, dancing on their skates, and teaching each other some new tricks.

The girls loved being outside in the sunshine, getting some exercise into their day in a way that they love.

Courtney got her roller skates earlier in the summer and had been practicing skating a lot. She loved the wind in her hair as she whipped around. Being new at roller skating, Courtney did fall several times, nevertheless she got up each time and tried again.

Maryellen and Darci were great teachers to Courtney. Courtney even felt relieved when Darci tripped over her skates at one point. She had been worried she might be the only one to do that.

All three girls had a blast skating around town until they had to go back to their homes for dinner. They agreed that if tomorrow is another nice day, they would meet up to roller skate again.

Today is World Bee Day! Blaire put on her white bee-print dress and took her bee Squishmallow, Sunny, out to greet the morning bees around the yard. Blaire’s middle name is Melissa (I gave her my first name as her middle name) which means “honeybee”.

Blaire loved observing the bees go from flower to flower, humming and buzzing about. After spending some time outside, she went back inside to make some dairy-free pancakes topped with honey instead of maple syrup (which she also loves).

Felicity celebrated her birthday with her Aunt Martha, her sister, Nanette, her cousin, Megan, and her great friend, Josefina (who lives with them). Felicity and Nan played dolls on the town common for awhile before the family went to dinner at the Lion’s Pride Pub and Restaurant.

Felicity enjoyed spending the day with her loved ones and also enjoyed the sunny, warm weather in Star Valley.

(also, I just got this bench from a friend who thought I might like it for my dolls).

Hello! I hope you all enjoy a beautiful day tomorrow and that your dolls and plushies do too! Santa will be arriving in Star Valley soon and everyone is getting ready to go to bed and can’t wait to find out what they will wake up to.

Here are some photos of some of my dolls dressed for the holidays.

Today is Felicity’s birthday! Felicity was my first American Girl doll; I got her when I was in 6th grade. Her Spring Gown and Pinner Apron (aka her Birthday outfit) was the first extra outfit I got for her and it was actually her only extra outfit for many years. It’s still my favorite of hers.

Here are a couple of photos of Felicity with her little sister, Nanette.

Felicity is excited to finally have her Laced Jacket and Petticoat, aka her Learns A Lesson outfit. This outfit is a such a classic and looks lovely on Miss Lissie. Her mother sent her this jacket and petticoat all the way from Virginia. Felicity can’t wait to show her classmates her new outfit when she goes back to Primrose Academy For Young Ladies on Monday.

Nan is hoping that she’ll get a similar outfit soon.

Hello! Happy February! Today is Marina Wilkin’s birthday and she’s enjoying the day with some friends, watching movies and playing games.

Last month Molly Joan McIntire came down with a nasty cold. She had been trying to curl her hair and went outside with it all sopping wet, in the cold winter weather. She’s been eating lots of chicken noodle soup and drinking orange juice.

Lastly, Isabelle Palmer’s older sister, Jade, has moved to Star Valley to be with her sister. Like Belle, Jade is passionate about dancing, especially ballet. She’s looking forward to joining the Star Valley Academy of Dance and hopes to get some fun parts in productions as well as recitals.

It is New Year’s Eve once again and Elsie and I are celebrating our birthdays together (everyone around the world celebrates with us 😉 ).

The dolls and plushies of Star Valley are ringing in the New Year in different ways, with family and friends. Elara took her sister, Elsie, out for a birthday lunch at the Raspberry Flummery Cafe where they enjoyed burgers, cupcakes, and milk shakes. Elsie even dressed up in a shiny new dress and was given a birthday sash to wear.

I hope that all of you have had a wonderful holiday season and I hope you had some great times throughout 2022. Thank you for visiting my doll site. It will be interesting to see what 2023 has in store!

Happy Birthday, Elsie! (Cece, one of my Squishmallows, decided to photobomb, haha).

On this Christmas Eve the dolls of Star Valley have been busy wrapping the last of the gifts, enjoying each others’ company and eagerly awaiting the arrival of Santa Claus and his reindeer.

Snow is softly falling upon the little town in Doll Country. Nicki Fleming is wishing for a pair of skis. Courtney Moore wants a rad boombox for her cassettes.

Merry Christmas to all those who celebrate! And Happy Hanukkah too! I hope you all enjoy a lovely day tomorrow.

There is exciting news for the Edwards family. Mrs. and Mr. Edwards are expecting a baby! The whole family is thrilled and can’t wait to meet the new baby. They’ve been busy starting to get things ready for the arrival due around early February.

Samantha, Addy, and Rachel have been trying to stay on top of both their homework and their chores. Samantha and Rachel are both eager to meet their new little cousin and keep thinking of possible names that they suggest to their aunt and uncle.

I am working on adding the hairstyle tutorials back onto the website and so far have them for:

Addy’s Crossed French Braids

 Braid Within A Braid

Criss-Cross Pigtails

 Heidi Braids

Peggy’s Rock Star ‘Do

Have fun looking through them and trying them on your doll(s)! You can also find them under Your Doll Play up top.

Fall has arrived in Star Valley. The days have been starting to cool down and there are plenty of colorful leaves on the ground. Families are decorating for Halloween, many of the children are figuring out what costumes they’re going to wear, and the town is hoping to hold a Fall Festival.

Samantha enjoyed a lovely stroll through the town on her way home from school.
