Felicity is excited to finally have her Laced Jacket and Petticoat, aka her Learns A Lesson outfit. This outfit is a such a classic and looks lovely on Miss Lissie. Her mother sent her this jacket and petticoat all the way from Virginia. Felicity can’t wait to show her classmates her new outfit when she goes back to Primrose Academy For Young Ladies on Monday.

Nan is hoping that she’ll get a similar outfit soon.

Hello! Happy February! Today is Marina Wilkin’s birthday and she’s enjoying the day with some friends, watching movies and playing games.

Last month Molly Joan McIntire came down with a nasty cold. She had been trying to curl her hair and went outside with it all sopping wet, in the cold winter weather. She’s been eating lots of chicken noodle soup and drinking orange juice.

Lastly, Isabelle Palmer’s older sister, Jade, has moved to Star Valley to be with her sister. Like Belle, Jade is passionate about dancing, especially ballet. She’s looking forward to joining the Star Valley Academy of Dance and hopes to get some fun parts in productions as well as recitals.

On this Christmas Eve the dolls of Star Valley have been busy wrapping the last of the gifts, enjoying each others’ company and eagerly awaiting the arrival of Santa Claus and his reindeer.

Snow is softly falling upon the little town in Doll Country. Nicki Fleming is wishing for a pair of skis. Courtney Moore wants a rad boombox for her cassettes.

Merry Christmas to all those who celebrate! And Happy Hanukkah too! I hope you all enjoy a lovely day tomorrow.

There is exciting news for the Edwards family. Mrs. and Mr. Edwards are expecting a baby! The whole family is thrilled and can’t wait to meet the new baby. They’ve been busy starting to get things ready for the arrival due around early February.

Samantha, Addy, and Rachel have been trying to stay on top of both their homework and their chores. Samantha and Rachel are both eager to meet their new little cousin and keep thinking of possible names that they suggest to their aunt and uncle.

The Lion’s Pride Pub and Restaurant has recently started selling pizza to expand its menu offerings. The pizzas are wood-fired and taste delicious.

Margaux Benoit recently bought some pizza to bring home for a study sesh that she and her friend, Opal Ortega-Smith were having. Yum!

Happy New Year! I hope you are all enjoying the first month of 2022. All of my dolls are in the process of changing out of their holiday outfits. They had a wonderful holiday season, however it is time to put away the decorations and start decorating for Valentine’s Day! There has been a bit of a cold snap so many of the dolls have enjoyed cozying up inside for the past week.

I hope you’re having a nice holiday weekend (I know for some of us who work, it might not feel much different than any other weekend/week).

I hope that you’re able to spend some time with family and friends, and also take some time out for relaxing on your own, maybe playing dolls or working on a craft.

I’ve gotten a head start on Fall and Halloween crafts, both for my dolls and myself. The past few years, Fall and Winter holidays have felt rushed, and I’m hoping to try to spend a bit less time on my devices and a bit more time on trying to enjoying this time of year that we’re entering. Not sure how successful I’ll be, nevertheless even a little less time on my devices will hopefully help.

Many of the dolls are enjoying the extended weekend before their second week of school starts. Kirsten found a scarf that she started a few years ago and is determined to finish it this year. She’s not sure yet if she’s going to keep it for herself or if she’s going to give it to a friend as a Christmas gift.

Welcome to the new blog for Cherished Playtime!  I am trying to figure out how to use WordPress.  I will say that I find Weebly’s drag and drop editor easier to use, and also feel that my basic html is easier as well.  I would like to be able to get the hang of using WordPress and be able to post more dolly content in this blog format.  For now, I am most likely planning to keep the other website pages as is (I know that the images need major cleaning up from that Photobucket fiasco a few years ago.  That may still take a long time, unfortunately.
